1804 Books is proud to be part of the International Union of Left Publishers (IULP), and publishes texts in conjunction with other member presses. Formed in 2020, the IULP emerged as a platform of left publishers to promote left books through Red Books Day, to defend left authors, publishers, and bookshops, and to develop a copyleft method of sharing books across our countries and languages.
In our commitment to building internationalism, we work in close partnership with publishing projects LeftWord Books and Inkani Press.

LeftWord Books is a New Delhi-based publishing house that seeks to reflect the views of the left in India and South Asia. We publish critical and analytical works on a range of subjects, and pay special attention to works on Marxist theory. We project the interests of the working people and movements for social transformation. Set up in 1999, LeftWord also runs and manages May Day Bookstore.
