Short Course on Palestine Book Bundle
For you and your friends who are organizing for a free Palestine!
Inspired by and supplemental to the guest course at The People's Forum "A Short Course on Palestine" taught by Rashid Khalidi in Fall 2025, this book bundle contains everything that you need to begin studying the history of Palestine, interventions by colonial powers in the Arab region, and movements of resistance by the Palestinian people.
For students taking the course, these books are part of the assigned readings for A Short Course on Palestine.
This bundle includes:
- The Iron Cage: The Story of the Palestinian Struggle for Statehood by Rashid Khalidi
- The Hundred Years' War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, 1917–2017 by Rashid Khalidi
- Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East by Rashid Khalidi
-
The Revolution of 1936 - 1939 in Palestine by Ghassan Kanafani
About the Class:
A course on modern Middle Eastern history was originally scheduled to be taught at Columbia University in Fall 2025. However, as Columbia continues its complicity in covering up the U.S.-Israeli genocide against Palestine and capitulates to the Trump administration at the expense of academic freedom and student rights, Professor Rashid Khalidi found it impossible to teach his course. This segment of the course, entitled A Short Course on Palestine, will now be offered at The People’s Forum, making it accessible to the broader public.
