This collection of books supports the Hidden Histories of Rebellion in the United States course at The People’s Forum (January 27–March 12, 2026). Together, these texts recover the suppressed histories of resistance, solidarity, and multiracial struggle that have shaped the United States but are often erased or distorted. At a time when history is being weaponized to justify oppression, this collection centers the rebellions and movements that reveal how people organized, fought back, and forced change—and why those stories matter today.
